Tim’s Twelve Days before Christmas
Day 1
Tim opened his green eyes and yawned loudly. He grabbed his iPod from a little desk next to his bed. Tim put in his password and looked at the calendar. He sprang from his bed. Today was the day he had been waiting for. One of his crazy uncles always took him sledding or snowboarding around Christmas. Today was the day his uncle Charles had picked to take him sledding all day.
Tim slipped into some jeans and
a long sleeve shirt and made his way to the dining room. His room was on the
second story. He walked very slowly until he got to the stairs because his
sister Natasha had the room next to his and if he woke her up this early she
would get very mad.
Tim got to the stairs and then
ran down to the dining room. Tim’s mother was up and was watching the news. He
grabbed a couple snacks for the day and walked into the living room.
Tim kissed his mother goodbye
and walked to the front door. There by the door was a closet with all the coats
and gloves. He got his coat and gloves then raced out the door.
Tim yawned again as his uncle
pulled up in his truck. Tim smiled and vaulted from the porch. He ran over to
the truck and got in. Tim’s uncle smiled as he got in. Charles always had some
junk food in his truck when Tim was there. In the middle seat lay a box of a
dozen donuts.
Tim grabbed a donut and took a
large bite from it. Charles started the truck and turned on the radio. Charles began
driving while Tim reached for another donut. "Now Tim don't eat too many
of the donuts or you won't feel like sledding." Tim smiled as he shoved
the remains of a donut into his mouth.
Charles drove up into the
mountains. There they pulled into a parking lot. Tim could see the hill where
they would sled from and the ski lift that would slowly take them back to the
top. Tim and Charles got out of the truck and headed to the entrance. The
closer Tim got to the hill the larger it got.
At the entrance Charles paid
the lady who gave them the sleds. Tim picked a blue one while Charles picked a
black one. They got to the start of the course and Charles pulled out a coin.
"Heads or Tails" asked Charles. Tim thought for a moment,
"Heads." Charles tossed the coin and caught it. Charles looked at it,
it was Tails. Charles smiled and jumped on his sled. Tim pushed the sled making
Charles go flying down the hill.
Tim laughed at the sight of his
uncle trying to stay on his sled. Close to the end Charles hit a bump and the
sled went flying out from under him. Tim smiled as he got on his sled and went
sledding down the hill.
Tim was going very fast. He saw
the bump coming. He held to his sled tight. He hit the bump and went flying
through the air. Tim’s sled hit the ground with him still attached.
Tim and Charles did the same
hill over and over until they got the hang of it. Charles and Tim went up to
the medium course after they got bored of the beginners. Charles wanted more
bumps and much longer courses.
Before they went on the course Tim
read about it in the map. "The medium course has 100 feet of bumps and 10
ramps. The course also has 500 feet of going really fast, but watch out for the
trees." Charles smiled "sounds like fun." Tim shook his head,
"sounds crazy." Charles smiled "that's my point."
Charles grinned as he went down
the course. "Catch me if you can!" Tim smiled and went flying down the
hill after his uncle. He was catching up to Charles. Charles avoided a ramp.
Tim hit the ramp which gave him the boost to catch up with his uncle. Charles
leaned forward which made him go back ahead of Tim.
Charles turned to Tim and
laughed at him. Tim snickered as Charles hit a tree. Tim won and Charles
finished several minutes later. They did that course for several hours then
decided to head home. It was already supper time and they had skipped lunch.
Charles stopped at McDonalds
and got two hamburgers and some Fries. They ate on the way home. Charles
pulled up to the house. Tim thanked him for taking him and ran into the house.
When Tim got home everyone else
was asleep. Tim popped a bowl of popcorn and took it to his room. Tim put the
bowl on his bed and walked over to his TV. Tim put the Avenger movie in and
went back to his bed. Tim changed into his pajamas while the commercials were
going.
Tim sat on his bed eating
popcorn. He watched the whole movie without falling asleep. Tim yawned after
the movie had gone off. He put the dirty bowl on the floor so his dog could
lick it.
Tim laid down in bed thinking
about the day. Bouncer his dog layed on his lap and went to sleep. Tim’s last thought
before he fell asleep was, only 11 more days till Christmas.
Tim woke up and slipped into his clothes. He was 14 and just yesterday he had been sledding with his uncle Charles. Today he and his dad were going to get a Christmas tree.
Day 2
Tim woke up and slipped into his clothes. He was 14 and just yesterday he had been sledding with his uncle Charles. Today he and his dad were going to get a Christmas tree.
Tim slipped on his coat which he had left on the floor and
walked into the dining room. He ate a bowl of cereal while his dad drank his
coffee. After they had eaten and washed the dishes Tim and his dad loaded into
the SUV.
After they loaded up Tim quickly got out of the car. "I
forgot Bouncer." He ran into the house and got his dog. He took Bouncer
out to the car. Bouncer sat on Tim’s lap on the way there. Bouncer was a little
retriever.
They soon got to the Christmas tree place. Tim got out of the
car holding Bouncer. His father got out and started walking to the entrance.
Tim followed his father.
There were lots of Christmas trees green, yellow, pink, orange
and blue. There were Christmas trees of every size and color.
Tim wanted a black Christmas tree so the lights would show, but
his dad said that they should get a green tree. Tim found a green tree that he
liked but his father said it was much too large.
Bouncer was excited about being out of the house. Bouncer rarely
went out of the house. He slept most of the time.
Tim lifted one of his arms and pointed to another tree. Bouncer
jumped out of Tim’s arms and started running around sniffing everything. Tim
chased after bouncer. Tim’s father looked at Tim. "Told you that you
should have put him in the man purse."
Tim frowned and turned his concentration on catching the dog.
Bouncer kept running under the trees making it hard for Tim to catch him.
Tim’s dad tried to corner Bouncer but Bouncer was so small that
he dashed underneath him. Something caught Bouncer’s attention. A couple feet
away was an old woman with a poodle. Bouncer dashed toward the poodle.
Tim saw Bouncer head for the poodle and tried to cut him off.
Bouncer maneuvered in between Tim’s legs and kept running for the poodle. The
poodle tugged on the leash pulling it from her owner’s hand.
The poodle ran towards Bouncer. Bouncer and the poodle jumped on
each other and started playing with each other. Tim waited for the right time
then leapt from where he was hiding and grabbed bouncer.
The poodle jumped back in surprise. The owner grabbed her and
lifted her up. "Bad doggy." The lady attached the leash to the poodle
then continued shopping. Tim lifted bouncer up and put him in his backpack.
Tim’s dad found a medium sized Christmas tree. It was green and
very beautiful. Tim’s dad paid for it then asked Tim to help him carry it. Tim
ran over to help his dad.
The two of them put the tree on top of the SUV. Tim loaded up
and let Bouncer out. Bouncer started bouncing in the vehicle. Tim’s father got
in and started the vehicle.
"Now to get the Christmas lights." They drove in the direction
of home. They stopped at Lowes and started looking for the lights.
Tim suggested that they could ask someone but his father just
kept looking. Soon Tim’s father asked someone where the Christmas section was.
The man pointed to an aisle. They went down the aisle and found a very large
selection of lights.
There were many colors of lights. They decided on green to match
the tree. They loaded the lights up into the SUV and then got in. They drove
back home.
They arrived just in time for lunch. They ate sandwiches and
some green beans. Tim let Bouncer run around the house while they unloaded the
Christmas tree. Tim’s father got the tree while Tim got the Christmas lights.
Tim’s mother made some hot chocolate while they put the tree up.
"Look its shedding" Natasha said. Tim laughed "yeah look at
Bouncer." Bouncer was under the tree sleeping covered with green stuff.
Natasha and Tim burst out laughing. All the noise woke up Bouncer.
Bouncer sat up and shook all the green stuff off.
Then green stuff went flying through the air. They finished
putting the tree up. Natasha went down to the basement to find the ornaments
while Tim went to find their old lights.
Natasha brought up the ornaments.
Tim could not find the old lights so he got the new ones. Tim pulled the lights
out of the box and spread them out. Natasha opened a big box that had all sort
of ornaments in it.
Tim put the lights on the ground and helped Natasha pick which
ornaments to use. They decided on some homemade ones that they made last year.
They put the ornaments on the tree then walked over to the lights. Tim
grabbed one string and Natasha grabbed a string of lights also.
Tim slowly wrapped the lights around the tree then plugged them
in. The tree lit up and Natasha ran over to the wall and turned the lights to
the room off. Tim covered the windows then looked at the tree.
The tree lit up the whole room. Their mother walked in holding
two cups of hot chocolate. "Kids it looks wonderful. But turn on the
lights so I don't drop your hot chocolate." The light quickly came on.
Tim’s mother handed Tim and Natasha hot chocolate. They quickly
drank it and started cleaning up their mess. It was soon supper time. They ate
and quickly cleaned up.
Tim went to his room and
started a book. Bouncer followed Tim up to his room. Natasha went to her room
and got on her laptop.
There were only 10 more days till Christmas.
Day 3
Tim was sitting there on the living room couch watching TV when his sister walked in. "Are you going to sit there and watch TV till breakfast."
"No, I'm not. I had plans, im just relaxing until breakfast." Natasha grinned "relaxing you mean watching TV." Tim shrugged "guess so." Natasha sat down next to her brother. "So what are you watching another creepy movie?"
"No I'm watching SpongeBob square pants." Natasha stood up. "Same thing.” Natasha walked out of the room while Tim chuckled. Tim sat on the couch thinking about what he should do today.
Tim decided that he would play on the computer. He got up and turned the TV off. "Later SpongeBob" he said. He hurried into his room and walked over to his desk. He picked up his laptop and set it on his bed.
He flipped it open and then pressed the power button. He waited until it powered on then entered his password. He looked through all the games he had. He decided he would play lotro (Lord of The Rings Online). Tim opened the game up when his mother hollered.
"Breakfast time come eat now unless you want your father to eat it all." Tim hopped up from his bed and started running towards the stairs. Before he reached the stairs Natasha opened her door.
Tim slammed into the door and fell on the ground. Natasha helped him up and they both went down to the dining room table. Tim rubbed his nose as he sat down. "That hurt." "Of course it hurt. You ran into a door
Tim shrugged and looked at the table. There were biscuits and gravy. The family prayed then everyone started grabbing food. They soon were done eating. The whole family cleaned up breakfast.
Tim and Natasha headed to their rooms after breakfast was all cleaned up. Tim turned his computer on and opens his game again. He waited for a minute for it to load then he suddenly appeared in middle earth.
Tim looked at his friend list and noticed that several of his friends were on. He was rank 95 and so were most of his friends. Tim was invited to join a group with several of his friends all rank 93 or above.
Tim looked at who was on his team and smiled. Natasha was also on and had joined the group. Natasha often played with Tim so she had the same friends. Tim was talking with one of his friends. "So Tim I heard that there is a hacker on."
Suddenly Tim’s screen blacked then came back on. There were snowmen running all over the place. Tim got on chat. "Guys this is weird, I'm going to get off before my computer gets a virus." Everyone got off being smart.
Tim sat in his room thinking. "That was so awkward I need to find something else to do." He walked over to his sister’s room. “Want to play a board game." "Sure there is nothing else to do."
Tim and Natasha walked down into the living room. Tim sat down on the couch while Natasha got in the closet. She came out of the closet with the game of clue. They quickly set it up.
Tim asked his mom and dad if they wanted to play. His dad was working but his mom decided she would play. Natasha handed each person their cards. The game started and they all went to separate buildings trying to found out who the murderer was.
Their mother won. It was Miss Scarlet with the knife in the con
servatory. Their mom went back to sewing. Natasha and Tim put the game up and sat back down on the couch. They were trying to find something to do when there was a knock on the door.
Tim got up and answered the door. There at the door was his friend and next door neighbor Jimmy. Jimmy was the same age as Tim. “Hello Jimmy is there anything I can do for you.” “Yeah I was wondering if you could come over to spend the night. And my sister wants you sister to come over also.”
Tim ran and asked his mother. His mom said they could. Tim went and told Natasha the news. They were quickly packed. The two of them said goodbye to their parents and headed out the door. Their mom turned to their dad. “More supper for us.”
There were only 9 days left till Christmas
Day 4
It was 1 A.M. and Tim was playing hide and seek with his
neighbor Jimmy. Tim had just found Jimmy and was looking for Natasha when
Jimmy’s sister, Charlene popped her head out of a room.
Charlene came running out the door and straight for base.
Tim ran after Charlene. Tim jumped towards Charlene.
Charlene jumped and landed on base just as Tim touched her
heel. Tim got up and looked at Charlene. “That was close.” Charlene agreed,
then turned to Jimmy who was sitting on base waiting for a new game.
“Did you get tagged or not?” “Yeah, I got tagged.” Tim
ignored them and started looking for his sister. They were playing hide and go
seek in the dark. Jimmy and Charlene’s rooms were in the basement. They were playing
in the basement so it was darker.
Tim got on his knees and thoroughly checked the first room.
He then crawled through the hall. He turned left into Jimmy’s room. He looked
around the whole room.
He then crawled to Charlene’s room and started looking. When
Tim was about to give up Natasha came running out of Jimmy’s room. Tim turned
around as Natasha went running behind him.
Before Tim could get her she touched base. They played till
3 A.M. then went to bed.
They woke up really late. It was 10 A.M. when they had
breakfast. After they ate they quickly dressed for snow. It had snowed over
night
They went outside and started building snowmen. They did
that till noon then decided to go in for sandwiches at 3 P.M.
When they got out side there were 5 other people in the
yard. They were Jimmy’s friends. They asked them if they wanted to have a
snowball fight.
Jimmy walked up to his friends and grinned. “Let’s do it.”
They split up into teams. Jimmy, Natasha, Charlene and Tim on one team while
Jimmy’s friends were on the other team. They built forts for an hour then made
snowballs for another hour. They soon had a whole pile of snowballs.
Just as the snowball fight started Jimmy’s cousins walked
right in between the teams. Snow balls came from both sides pelting Jimmy’s
Cousin.
Jimmy’s cousins went running into the house. Jimmy jumped up
laughing. Before long Jimmy was hit in the mouth with a snowball.
The snow ball fight went on until 8 P.M. Jimmy’s friends had
to leave. Tim and Natasha left their neighbors house. They got home just in
time to eat a late supper and go to bed.
There were only 8 days before Christmas
Day 5
Tim was sitting on his bed on his laptop checking his
Facebook at 6 A.M. He was still tired from yesterday. He giggled at a post. It
was a picture of a cat dressed like Santa Clause.
Tim shared the post then continued looking on his Facebook.
He got a notification. He looked at it and pressed, will be there. It was a
invite to a skating party at The Skate House.
Tim knew he had nothing to do that day and that a lot of his
friends from school would be there. He hadn’t seen them for a while because
school had been out for almost a week.
Tim turned his computer off and sat up. He yawned slowly. He
crawled out of bed and quickly changed. The party started at 10 A.M. and ended
at 6 P.M.
It was a costume party. Tim had to find something to wear
that looked like something related to Christmas. He asked his mom if he could
have some money to go buy a outfit for a party.
His mom asked him a couple questions then handed him some
money. He looked at the clock then raced out the door.
There was a Walmart about four blocks away. He quickly ran
to the Walmart and walked in the door exhausted. Tim found the Christmas cloths
aisle and started looking for a costume that didn’t look awful.
Tim found a gingerbread man outfit. He bought it and quickly
ran back to his house. It was getting close to 10 O clock and he hadn’t even
eaten breakfast yet.
Tim quickly ate breakfast then slipped into his gingerbread
outfit. When he walked back down into the dining room his mom (who was doing
dishes) burst out laughing.
He ignored the laughing and asked his mom if she could drive
him to the party. He and his mother got in the SUV and headed to the party.
Tim arrived at the party at 10 O clock exactly. He said good
bye to his mother and headed into the building. His mother started the car
again and drove off.
Tim walked into The House of Skating and paid for his entry
fee. When he walked into the main room he was met by several of his friends.
They chatted for several minutes then put there skates on.
Tim and his friends decided they would play skate tag. They
played tag for a couple hours and Tim was tagged only 3 times.
The party was being hosted by Tim’s friend Dan. Dan’s mother
brought out drinks and some food. The room was full of boys and all the food
was gone in less than 30 minutes. Even the broccoli was gone.
They did lots of activities. They danced, raced, freeze tag
and they also did a contest to see who could hold a spoon in their mouth
without the egg falling off the spoon.
Tim had a lot of fun. At 5.30 Dan did one more contest. He
had a large collection of cheap airsoft guns. He gave each boy a gun and they
did airsoft wars on skates.
At 6 O clock the party ended and people started leaving. Tim
was picked up by his mother and drove home. Tim was very tired again. Having so
much fun made him forget he was tired.
He microwaved some macaroni for supper and sat down on the
living room couch. He turned on The Princess bride. Before the beginning
credits had ended he was fast asleep.
His mother turned the lights off and went to bed also.
Natasha was over at a friend’s house and his dad had also gone to bed. Tim
slept on the couch.
There were only 7 Days before Christmas
Day 6
Tim woke up and found himself lying on the couch. He yawned and looked at the TV. The movie Princess Bride was up on the main menu.
Tim got up and looked at the clock on the wall. It was 5 A.M. He turned the TV off and walked to the bathroom. He looked in the mirror.
He was dressed like a Ginger Bread man. He smiled as he recalled the party yesterday. He yawned again and walked to his room. He picked out some clothes and put them on.
After changing he made his way to the kitchen. He quickly made a bowl of fruit loops and poured some milk on it.
He picked up the bowl and carried it to the living room couch. He grabbed the remote and turned on the TV. He turned The Princess Bride on and watched it while he ate.
After he was done eating he got up and put his dishes in the sink. He returned to the couch and lay down. He was watching the movie when he fell asleep.
He woke up again, to the sound of his mother walking through the living room. He sat up and yawned. She turned to him. “Did you already have breakfast or is that your dads dish in the sink.” “That’s my dirty dish I will wash it in a sec.”
Tim got up from the couch and followed his mother to the kitchen. She started making an egg while Tim washed his dirty dishes. After he was done he walked out of the kitchen and up the stairs. He knocked on his sister’s door than ran into his room and closed the door. He chuckled as he sat down on his bed. He couldn’t find anything to do.
Tim got off of his bed and jogged down to the living room. He opened the door and picked the newspaper off the front step. He carried it over to the couch.
Tim went through the newspaper and pulled the funnies out. He put the rest on the dining room table and walked back into the living room. After reading the funnies he carried them into his room and set them on his desk where a large pile of comics were.
Tim didn’t have anything to do so he got on his Facebook and chatted with a friend till lunch time. His mom called him to lunch and he dashed to the dining room table.
After eating, Tim went back up to his room. He turned on his cd player and put a cd in. Tim started dancing to the music. His sister opened the door and looked in.
Tim pretended that he tripped and fell to the ground. “Oh you were dancing again.” Tim got up “no I was walking to the door and tripped.” Tim’s face was getting red. Natasha chuckled and walked out of the room.
As soon as she left she turned around and once again walked into the room. “Oh yeah keep the volume down. And stop dancing.” Tim’s face burst into deep red. Natasha laughed as a nerf bullet went flying towards her. She walked to her room still laughing.
Natasha walked into her room and opened her closet door. She pulled out her nerf gun and grabbed several clips of ammo. She came out her room and back into Tim’s.
Tim who was sitting on the bed jumped in surprise and rolled to the other side of the bed. She started firing as he ducked behind his bed. He popped up and grabbed his gun off the bed. He loaded it and leapt from his protection. He lifted his gun and shot at Natasha. The bullet went flying through the air right towards her head.
She quickly ducked. He fired again and missed again. She just kept on dodging them one after another. He finally got up and ran into his closet. He smiled as he picked up his giant automatic Nerf minigun. He loaded it then rolled out of the closet. He jumped up and started firing. She ran out of his room. He laughed then set the gun on his bed.
She soon walked back into the room unarmed. “I call truce, don’t shoot at me or I will go karate master on you.” Tim laughed at what she said. “Tim what’s so funny, stop laughing.” Tim tried to stop laughing but he couldn’t. “You’re a karate master.” He said while laughing. She smiled and acted like she was doing kungfu. He lifted up a pocket mirror for her to see herself. Soon they were both laughing.
Their mother walked in. “What’s all the noise? Why are you guys laughing?” They continued to laugh. “She looks like a dead goat when she is acting like a karate master” Tim said as he continued to laugh. His mother smiled. “Don’t call your sister a dead goat.” She walked out of the room. They soon stopped laughing and sat up.
“Well that was fun” Natasha said. Tim grinned “yes it was.” Their mom called them for supper. They walked down to the dining room and sat down. After the meal was over everyone headed to the living room. Tim’s mom made some popcorn and turned on The Grinch That Stole Christmas. After the movie was done they all went to bed.
There were only 6 more days till Christmas.
Day 7
It was 6 A.M. and Tim was dancing to some oldies. His mother
knocked on the door. He opened it and asked her what she wanted. “What are you
going to eat for breakfast?” Tim groaned “I don’t know maybe some eggs and
sausage.” Bouncer flopped off the bed and walked over to the door.
“Well you’ll have to make it yourself. We are going into
town so don’t forget to eat.” “I promise I will eat, it’s not like I would
forget.”
His mother kissed him goodbye and walked down the stairs. He
closed his door and turned the music back on. Bouncer got back on the bed and
laid down. Tim was dancing when Natasha knocked on his door. “What do you want?”
he asked. “I want to talk to you.” Tim opened the door. “Cant a man dance in
peace? Now what do you want?” “Mom told me to make sure you ate.”
“Why is everyone concerned about me eating?” “Maybe because
you think you are fat and your only 90 pounds.” Tim groaned “I am fat compared
to Steven at school. He is only 80 pounds.” Natasha rolled her eyes and walked
out of the room.
Tim closed the door and turned his music back on and
continued to dance. After a while he got hungry and Tim and Bouncer made their way
to the kitchen. Tim filled Bouncer’s bowl and pulled some eggs out of the
fridge. He also pulled a pan down and turned a burner on. He put the egg on to
cook then walked into the living room. Bouncer hadn’t taken a bite out of his
food yet.
Tim sat down on the couch and Bouncer got up on his lap. Tim
grabbed the remote and turned on the news. He watched the weather then turned
the TV off. He picked up Bouncer and carried him into the kitchen.
After Tim cooked his egg he put it on a plate and set it on
the table. He grabbed a fork and sat down. Tim bowed his head and prayed. While
he prayed bouncer lay down and covered his eyes with his paws.
After Tim prayed, Bouncer got up and started eating. Tim
quickly finished his egg and washed his dishes. He put them up and checked Bouncers
bowl. It was empty so he rinsed it and headed back up to his room.
His sister Natasha stopped him on the stairs. “Did you eat?”
Tim sighed “yes I ate, now stop bothering me, I have some PE to do.” He
continued to walk until he was in his room at last. Bouncer was bouncing on the
bed.
Tim closed the door and turned his music on again. He danced
until lunch time. He was used to dancing a lot so his legs were not tired.
The clock dung several times. Tim stopped dancing and turned
the music off. He walked down to the kitchen and quickly made a bolony and
cheese sandwich. He ate on his way up to his room.
Tim walked into his room and picked up Bouncer. He ran down
to the back door and opened it. He attached Bouncer to his run then he went
back in the house.
Tim walked back up to his room and turned his TV on. He
turned his Xbox on and started playing Terraria. After about thirty minutes he
paused his game and let Bouncer back in the house. Bouncer followed him up the
stairs and back into the room. He started his game again and started fighting a
boss.
Natasha knocked on the door. Tim paused his game and opened
the door. “Hey Tim can you go out to the garage and get the wreath for the
front door. I want to surprise mom and dad.” Tim got up and walked to the
garage. He searched for several minutes then marched into the house holding the
wreath.
Natasha took the wreath from him. Tim’s phone rang. He
answered it. It was his mother. “Hey Tim we won’t be home till supper time do
you think you could make supper?” “Sure mom I would love to.” His mom hung up.
Tim ran up to his room and shut his Xbox off. He ran down to the kitchen and
started making chicken pot pie.
His parents got back for supper and were astonished at what
Tim had made. The food was good even though Tim had forgotten to put wheat in
the biscuits. They ate then quickly cleaned up supper. They went to bed early.
Tomorrow they would be going to their Grandmas and Grandpas.
There were only 5 days left till Christmas
Tim’s Twelve Days before Christmas
Day 8
Tim sat on his bed petting bouncer. HE had already eaten and was packed and ready to leave. Today they were going to go to their Grandmas and Grandpas for an early Christmas.
His mother called him. Tim got up from his bed and ran down to his mother. “Yes mom what do you want” Tim said as he ran into the kitchen exhausted. “We are loading up you need to put your stuff in the car and don’t forget Bouncer.”
Tim ran back into his room and grabbed his two bags. He picked up bouncer and put him in the man purse. He carried everything out to the SUV and loaded it up. Bouncer was going to ride on Tim’s lap.
After they were all in the car Tim’s dad started the car. They were soon on their way to their grandmas and grandpa house. They had about a 2 hour trip. After a gas stop and a lunch stop they arrived at their destination.
They unloaded all the stuff and carried it into the house. They were greeted by their grandma and grandpa and some of their cousins. One of Tim’s cousins named Jake walked up to Tim. “Hello Tim long time no see.” “Yeah it’s been a while.” They shoke hands then went back to getting everything organized.
After they got organized they all went to the living room and sat down. One of Tim’s crazy uncles started some weird game that made no sense to most of them. They played and talked for a while then Grandma turned the TV on. Home alone was on so they watched that.
They finished watching Home Alone. Some of Tim’s cousins had to leave. After a while everyone sat down and ate a gigantic meal.
After they ate they played a board game. No one won because the game took forever and everyone quit. They talked for a while then everyone under 16 went to bed.
Tim walked to the room he was sleeping in and quickly changed into his pajamas. He quietly crept to the bathroom to brush his teeth. He soon was in bed snoring.
There were only 4 more days till Christmas
Tim’s Twelve Days before Christmas
Day 9
Tim woke up and looked around. He got up and quickly got
dressed. Today they were going to open the presents from their grandpa and
grandma. He was sleeping in the basement. He quickly ran up the stairs and sat
down on the couch.
His Grandpa was sitting in his comfy chair reading the
newspaper. He tossed Tim the comic page. Tim caught it and started reading it.
His favorite comic character was Garfield. He read the whole
page then set it down on the couch. Natasha walked into the room and sat down
in the chair in the corner of the room. “Hey Tim can you toss me the comic page”
she asked. Tim nodded and tossed the comics at her. She caught them and started
reading.
Grandma walked out of the kitchen. “Breakfast is ready” she hollered.
Grandpa leapt from his chair and dashed for the table.
Soon everyone was at the table ready to eat. Grandma and Tim’s
mom brought all the food out and set it on the table. Grandpa said the prayer.
After the prayer he lifted his head and smiled. “All the food is mine.” Tim
grinned and shoved a fork full of biscuits and gravy into his mouth. His
grandpa made a weird face then started eating. Everyone laughed then Grandma started
serving the drinks.
They were soon done eating Breakfast. They all got up and
ran to the living room. Grandma handed out the presents and stockings. Tim
opened his presents first. He got a coat and some gloves and a bunch of other
cool stuff. Natasha got girly stuff and Tim paid no attention to what she got.
They played a couple of games.
They ate an early lunch. Tim’s family was going to silver
dollar city for the afternoon with their cousins. They packed and loaded everything
in the SUV. They hugged their Grandma and Grandpa and headed for their Vehicle.
They arrived at Silver Dollar City soon after noon. Tim
spotted their cousins in the park at one of the calmest rides Fire in the hole.
Everyone including the parents rode the ride then headed for another ride. They
rode a ride were you shot targets and Tim’s cousin Jake loved it and wanted to
go on it over and over.
Tim’s uncle was obsessed with food and was constantly
stopping at places smelling the food. They ate a snack and headed towards a
show. They watched the show it’s a wonderful life. It was almost like the movie
and Tim thought that they did a great job.
After they watched it they piled out of the theater and
headed to an area of the park filled with fun rides. They rode several but soon
had to leave to go to a different ride. All the lines were super long and it
took a long time to get to the ride. They mostly walked through the shops;
unless it was super crowded then they just skipped that shop. They ate a
blooming union and corn dogs for supper. It was expensive but yummy.
They watched the Parade. The parade was called Rudolph’s Christmas
parade. It was exciting. Bumble was in it and Rudolph rode in a shiny silver
car. There were toy soldiers and some things that Tim didn’t know what to call.
There was a very huge tree in the middle of the town square.
It took up a lot of space and was covered in lights. The lights were programed
to turn on when a song came on. They changed colors and at the top of the tree
was a huge star.
They watched the tree lighting then headed to the train. They
rode the train and Jake decided that he liked it a lot.
They went to the general store. In the middle of the store
was an old telephone that had people talking out of it. Tim thought it was
funny what the people said. Jake thought it was a bunch of nonsense. Natasha
just hung around with mom while Tim and Jake stayed with His uncle.
Tim’s uncle got an apple dumpling and everyone got cookies
popcorn and candy. When the park closed everyone started heading for the exit.
Tim’s family said goodbye to his cousins and got into their car.
They drove off waving to their cousins. After a two hour
drive home they all piled out of the car and into the house. Tim yawned and
went to bed without putting his pajamas on. Tomorrow they were going to cook
and Tim liked cooking because if you cook something someone has to eat it.
There were only 3 Days before Christmas
Tim’s Twelve Days before Christmas
Day 10
Tim sat up and rubbed his eyes. Yesterday he had gone to
Silver Dollar City. He got out of bed and called for his dog Bouncer. His dog Bouncer
had stayed with his grandma and grandpa when they went to Silver Dollar City.
Tim slipped into some clothes and started unpacking.
He ran down stairs and ate a quick breakfast. His mom had
put a bowl of cereal on the table for him. After he ate he washed his hands and
went to the living room.
He got the comics from the newspaper and sat down to read
them. Before he started reading them he walked Bouncer. When he came back in
Natasha was reading the comics. “Hey Natasha can I have the comics back.” “Sure”
Natasha said as she tossed him the comics.
He read the comics then set them on the couch. “Hey Natasha I
am done with the comics, you can read them now” He yelled. She quickly came up
and started reading them.
Tim played with Bouncer for a while then went up to his
room. He thought about how close Christmas was. Tim grabbed his Bible and read
some in the book of Luke. After that he turned his Xbox on and played till
lunch.
For lunch his mom made sandwiches. Tim ate his sandwich then
walked out the front door. He hopped on his bike and started riding around the neighborhood.
He biked for a couple hours then headed back home. When he
reached home he went to his room and started dancing. He danced till supper.
His mom called him and he turned his music off. He ran down just in time to get
the last piece of chicken.
They all cleaned up supper
and headed for bed. They were going to have company tomorrow so they needed
their rest. While Tim was trying to go to sleep he looked at the calendar.
There were only 2 more days till Christmas.
Day 11
Tim was on his bed petting his dog when the doorbell rang. He
had already eaten breakfast and everyone else was still eating. He sat up and walked
out of his room. “I will get it” Tim yelled. He dashed to the door and opened
it. There at the door was his best friend Gregory and his parents.
Gregory was an only child and had been Tim’s best friend
since he was very little. They had gone through school together and were much
alike. Tim didn’t know that Gregory was coming because all his Mom said was “We
are having company tomorrow so clean the house.”
Gregory and Tim went up to Tim’s room while the parents went
into the dining room to talk. Bouncer jumped off the bed and started wagging
his tail when Gregory walked in. Bouncer loved company and he especially like
Gregory.
Tim and Gregory got all of the Legos out and started
building a giant town. They had all types of buildings they wanted to make.
Malls, stores, restaurants, Walmart, houses, skyscrapers and many more
buildings. By lunch time they had a giant town that covered the whole floor of Tim’s
room.
Natasha came into Tim’s room and almost stepped on one of
the skyscrapers. “Hey guys it’s time for lunch.” Gregory stood up and looked at
Natasha. “What is for lunch?” Natasha looked at Gregory mischievously. “Broccoli
that’s all there is.” Gregory hated broccoli and jumped whenever its name was
used.
“Broccoli” Gregory said with disgust. “Don’t expect me to be
there for lunch.” Natasha and Tim burst out laughing. “Gregory stop making that
funny face. I was just joking.” Gregory’s face changed instantly. “Then what is
for lunch?”
“Lunch is jalapeno popper chicken!” Gregory and Tim leapt
from where they were and dashed towards the dining room. Gregory came in first
place, Tim in 2nd and Natasha in 3rd.
The two families ate the whole dish. It was very good.
Gregory leaned back in his chair with his hands on his stomach. “That tasted better
then candy.” Tim looked at Gregory confused. “I thought you didn’t like candy.”
Gregory groaned. “Yes I don’t like candy but most people do so there for it was
very good.”
Tim and Gregory went back up to Tim’s room while Natasha and
the parents stayed in the dining room and cleaned up lunch. When Tim and
Gregory reached Tim’s room they stopped and carefully opened the door. They
made their way around the Legos back to their spots. “I am ready to battle” Tim
exclaimed. “I am ready to, but the town isn’t ready. When we ran to lunch we
made a trail of destruction.” Tim rubbed his head. “Well you go get your Lego
men while I fix it up.”
Gregory got up and slowly made his way to this parent’s car.
He opened the door and grabbed a bag of Lego men. Gregory and Tim played with Legos
often so they always took their Legos when they were going to meet each other somewhere.
He made his way back into Tim’s room and started placing his men on one of the
skyscrapers.
Tim had the town fixed and was placing his men on the other
skyscraper. They soon finished setting up and started using Lego grenades and pretended
like they were actually fighting each other. The town was soon (utterly)
destroyed and they each only had one man left. They were both in the bottom
story of one of the skyscrapers. Gregory won and the loser had to run down and
get a snack for them both.
Tim brought up root beer floats. They ate them while they
rebuilt the town. They did another game but Gregory won again. The loser had to
take down the dirty dishes and bring up supper. Tim took the dishes to the sink
and asked his mom if he could take supper up. His mom laughed. “No you can’t. You
will get your bedroom all dirty and then you’ll have to clean it.
They had to eat downstairs so they ate quickly and ran back
up to the room without saying a word. They didn’t play another round, They just
cleaned it all up. Gregory had to leave once they were done so they took their
time. After Gregory left Tim walked into his room and changed into his pajamas.
He was walking to his bed when he tripped on a Lego, He
landed on the ground and all went black.
There was only 1 more day before Christmas.
Day 12
Tim woke up and hopped out of bed. It was Christmas Eve and
a couple of his uncles were coming over to spend the rest of the week with
them. Tim quickly got dressed and ran down stairs. He had slept late and his
uncles were supposed to be there early. He walked into the living room. No one
was there so he checked the dining room. Natasha and his parents were there
giggling. “Why are you giggling” Tim asked. They all stopped giggling and
looked at him. They didn’t say a word so he looked out the window.
There in the driveway were his Uncle Charles truck and his
Uncle Tom’s Corvette. Tom was really rich and always had some expensive
presents for them. Tom was also very funny and loved to tease Tim.
Tim started looking around the house. He found no one so he
went back up to his room. He walked through the door only to be scared by his
two uncles. Tim jumped into the air and landed on his back. His uncles laughed
while Tim got back up. “Guys you should be ashamed, You almost scared me to
death.” Tom giggled “That’s a fact.” Charles smiled and said hello to Tim.
“How did you guys get up here? I searched the whole house?”
Charles smiled and pointed to the window. Tim looked out the window and saw a
ladder leading up to his window.
If two of his uncles got together they did crazy stuff and
kept Tim on the lookout. They all went down to the dinner table to eat
breakfast. His mother had made breakfast casserole. His uncles ate almost half
of the casserole trying to see who could eat the most. Tim was stuffed after he
ate his first plate but his uncles ate at least 3 plate fulls a piece.
After they cleaned up the meal his uncles went to the living
room and went to sleep on the floor groaning. Tim smiled at the sight and the sound.
He pulled out his smart phone and recorded a short clip of them groaning. He
posted it on Facebook and giggled. His mother turned on the TV and switched
from channel to channel trying to find a suitable Christmas movie. There were
lots of Christmas movies but she was trying to find a certain one. She couldn’t
find what she wanted so she turned to the Polar Express.
Tim was texting Gregory when Tom sat up and yawned. “What
time is it?” he asked.” “Its 1 pm” Tim’s mother said. “Oh ok, I’m going back to
sleep.” Tom lay back down on the floor and was soon snoring.
Tim jumped up from where he was and ran into his room. He
grabbed several tiny toy dinosaurs then ran back down the stairs. He replied to
a text then walked over to his sleeping uncles. Tim took the dinosaurs and set
them on his uncle’s faces. He stepped back and took a picture. He smiled and
posted it on Facebook. He texted Gregory the picture also.
His uncles woke up several hours later and threw the
dinosaurs at Tim. Tim laughed as he hid behind a chair. Tim and his uncles went
outside and played with fireworks for a little bit then went in for lunch. His
uncles had another contest but didn’t nap afterwards. They played Nerf with Tim
till supper. Tim liked his uncles because they would act like children and
argue a lot. Several Times Charles and Tom got in a fight of who got shot. Tim
stopped the arguments by shooting both of them in the head. They ate supper and
put up some air mattresses for Tim’s uncles. They all went to sleep with
tomorrow on their mind.
There were 0 days till Christmas.
Christmas Day
Tim woke up and slowly got out of bed. He yawned as he tried
to find some clothes. While he was looking for clothes he looked at the
calendar in his dresser. It was Christmas! He went flying out of the room
without making his bed and still in his pajamas.
Tim ran down the stairs and into the living room. Natasha
was already on the couch looking through her stocking. Tim ran to the fireplace
and pulled his stocking off. He sat down on the floor and poured the contents
on the floor.
All the stuff poured onto the rug. He started digging
through the pile of stuff on the floor. He got lots of little toys and candy.
Tim shoved a piece of candy in his mouth as his mom walked into the room.
“Tim don’t eat candy before breakfast or you will lose your appetite.”
Tim swallowed the candy then turned to his mother. “Mom its only one piece.”
“Well one piece is too much before breakfast.” Tim sighed and stuck his hand in
his stocking. He felt all around trying not to miss anything.
He got a Hobbit movie, a pocket knife, lots of different
candy, a paracord bracelet, some stickers and lots of other little goodies. He
opened his pocket knife and popped the blade out. It looked very cool.
He shoved everything back into his stocking and ran back
into his room. Tim put his stocking on his bed and ran back down into the
living room. His mom and dad were now up and sitting on the couch waiting for
the kids to open their presents.
Tim got on his knees and started pulling all the presents
from under the tree. His uncles were still asleep. After he pulled all the
presents out he was sent to wake up his uncles who were sleeping on air
mattresses in the dining room. Tim walked into the dining room and started
jumping from mattress to mattress. His uncles were soon awake. Tim kept
bouncing so Tom pulled Tim down to the mattress. They started to wrestle. Tim,
when he had the chance, leapt out of Toms arms and jumped off the air mattress.
“Hey, Tom and Charles the gifts are ready to be opened.” His
uncles slowly got up and took turns changing in the bathroom. After they
changed they walked into the kitchen and got a bite to eat. They soon were all
seated in the living room waiting for their presents to be given to them.
Tim passed out the presents and everyone started opening
them. After all the presents were opened everyone ate some breakfast. Tim’s
uncles did not stuff themselves because they were feeling bad.
They cleaned up then started watching a movie. Tim and
Natasha went to their rooms and started playing with what they got. Tim had got
some more Legos and was building them when Tom walked in the door. “Hey Tim its
lunch time. Your mom told me to come up here and tell you.” Tim got up and
walked to the dining room with Tom. They ate lunch then went back to what they
were doing. They played several board games and some videos games.
When Tom and Charles were feeling better they decided that
they would have a candy eating contest. Tim joined and beat them all with a
total of 127 pieces. They all felt sick till supper.
After they were done with supper they all got around the
Christmas tree and his dad pulled the family bible out of an old cabinet. His
dad turned to the book of Luke chapter 2 they read the whole chapter. It was
late so everyone went to bed and dreamed about the day. And Tim thought about
the last few days ,and what fun he had. He was soon asleep.
Christmas was over.
The End
