Tim’s Twelve Days before Christmas
Day 9
Tim woke up and looked around. He got up and quickly got
dressed. Today they were going to open the presents from their grandpa and
grandma. He was sleeping in the basement. He quickly ran up the stairs and sat
down on the couch.
His Grandpa was sitting in his comfy chair reading the
newspaper. He tossed Tim the comic page. Tim caught it and started reading it.
His favorite comic character was Garfield. He read the whole
page then set it down on the couch. Natasha walked into the room and sat down
in the chair in the corner of the room. “Hey Tim can you toss me the comic page”
she asked. Tim nodded and tossed the comics at her. She caught them and started
reading.
Grandma walked out of the kitchen. “Breakfast is ready” she hollered.
Grandpa leapt from his chair and dashed for the table.
Soon everyone was at the table ready to eat. Grandma and Tim’s
mom brought all the food out and set it on the table. Grandpa said the prayer.
After the prayer he lifted his head and smiled. “All the food is mine.” Tim
grinned and shoved a fork full of biscuits and gravy into his mouth. His
grandpa made a weird face then started eating. Everyone laughed then Grandma started
serving the drinks.
They were soon done eating Breakfast. They all got up and
ran to the living room. Grandma handed out the presents and stockings. Tim
opened his presents first. He got a coat and some gloves and a bunch of other
cool stuff. Natasha got girly stuff and Tim paid no attention to what she got.
They played a couple of games.
They ate an early lunch. Tim’s family was going to silver
dollar city for the afternoon with their cousins. They packed and loaded everything
in the SUV. They hugged their Grandma and Grandpa and headed for their Vehicle.
They arrived at Silver Dollar City soon after noon. Tim
spotted their cousins in the park at one of the calmest rides Fire in the hole.
Everyone including the parents rode the ride then headed for another ride. They
rode a ride were you shot targets and Tim’s cousin Jake loved it and wanted to
go on it over and over.
Tim’s uncle was obsessed with food and was constantly
stopping at places smelling the food. They ate a snack and headed towards a
show. They watched the show it’s a wonderful life. It was almost like the movie
and Tim thought that they did a great job.
After they watched it they piled out of the theater and
headed to an area of the park filled with fun rides. They rode several but soon
had to leave to go to a different ride. All the lines were super long and it
took a long time to get to the ride. They mostly walked through the shops;
unless it was super crowded then they just skipped that shop. They ate a
blooming union and corn dogs for supper. It was expensive but yummy.
They watched the Parade. The parade was called Rudolph’s Christmas
parade. It was exciting. Bumble was in it and Rudolph rode in a shiny silver
car. There were toy soldiers and some things that Tim didn’t know what to call.
There was a very huge tree in the middle of the town square.
It took up a lot of space and was covered in lights. The lights were programed
to turn on when a song came on. They changed colors and at the top of the tree
was a huge star.
They watched the tree lighting then headed to the train. They
rode the train and Jake decided that he liked it a lot.
They went to the general store. In the middle of the store
was an old telephone that had people talking out of it. Tim thought it was
funny what the people said. Jake thought it was a bunch of nonsense. Natasha
just hung around with mom while Tim and Jake stayed with His uncle.
Tim’s uncle got an apple dumpling and everyone got cookies
popcorn and candy. When the park closed everyone started heading for the exit.
Tim’s family said goodbye to his cousins and got into their car.
They drove off waving to their cousins. After a two hour
drive home they all piled out of the car and into the house. Tim yawned and
went to bed without putting his pajamas on. Tomorrow they were going to cook
and Tim liked cooking because if you cook something someone has to eat it.
There were only 3 Days before Christmas
